On our Bloomin Boyds Bears website you will find both older and retired items as well as the most current resin items.
Pieces that are retired are no longer being manufactured by the Boyds Collection, Ltd.™ Those molds are destroyed and there will never be another piece made in that same likeness. These become pieces that are sought after by new collectors who want to have a complete set of the Boyds Collectibles.
New pieces continue to be added to most of the current categories and new categories appear almost every year.
The Boyds Collections
As the popularity of Boyds resin figures grew, so did the number of different categories. Beginning in 1994, they added the Folkstone Collection™, Boyds Town Villages™, the Dollstone Collection™ also known as Yesterdays' Child, Purrstones™, Uncle Bean's Treasure Boxes™, The Hopsalot™, Squeaks in the Attic™, The Garden Gang™, Snow Dooodes™, The Faeriessence Collection™, Charming Angels™, and many, many more. Our Boyds Collections page gives more detailed descriptions. Boyds continues to surprise, excite and dazzle us each season with the most wonderful bears, folks, mice and other critters!
Very important….Keep Those Boxes!!
Boyds resin pieces only retain their full market value if they are complete with box or MIB (mint in box.) That means keep the box, certificate of authenticity, and all the packing material. The packing material can be taken out and kept and the boxes broken down and flattened, which will take up much less room. (This last tip pertains ONLY to the most organized of collectors. Myself, not included.)
